As our story comes to an end here,
I wish it could be started once more.

Forgetting you is more agonizing
than having my body torn into pieces.

I had a fear of losing you in many ways,
but it came to an end on its own.

Now my eyes are like quiet ponds facing reality,
and I feel the moment
where I lost myself within it.

I am prepared to act
as if nothing ever happened,
if you could melt into me
as you once were—
but never with those lies again.

The lies I saw in you were beautiful.
Even the lies in your eyes felt gentle.

Maybe I am ready
to trust them just a little more,
because you were with me,
and you held me
even in your lies,
so beautifully.

As time moves on
and you’ve walked out of those days,
it still kills me deeply.
